THIS MONTH’S PLANETARY HEALING FOCUS:
YOU’RE INVITED! -- Every week, I invite my readers to participate in a
synchronized, worldwide prayer/meditation to promote World Peace. I welcome you to
join us and combine your energy along with thousands of other people in
sending love, light, and healing consciousness to the planet by focusing on the
following “affirmative prayer” topic in prayer or meditation this Sunday at
12:00 noon Eastern Time:
Everyone and everything on this planet is interconnected on an energetic
level. Therefore, sending out positive thoughts uplifts the entire world, and
sending out negative thoughts drags it down.
Think of yourself as a microcosm of the larger whole. How do you feel when
someone criticizes you and puts you down? How do you feel when someone treats
you like you’re nothing special and you have no value? How do you feel when
someone uses you or takes you for granted? Pretty bad, right?
Well, this is how Mother Earth must be feeling these days. We are fortunate
enough to live on a planet full of beauty and abundance, yet we fail to
appreciate it properly, and we even abuse our precious world. When we take
something for granted, we often fail to take proper care of it. Our earth has
provided unlimited support and resources for us, but because we’ve taken our world
for granted, we often do not appreciate these gifts. This month, let’s change
all that. Let’s send some genuine, heartfelt appreciation to this planet.
It’s our home, and it’s the only one we’ve got, so let’s give it the love and
appreciation it so richly deserves.
Start the meditation, as always, by taking a few moments to center yourself,
and then reach out mentally to connect with all of the other participants in
this meditation around the world, combining our energy together into a great
loving and benevolent force.
When you feel ready to begin, send out a huge wave of appreciation, a mental
“thank you” to the earth. Thank this world for being your home, for
sheltering you, for providing food for you, and for providing a richness of
experiences. Acknowledge and appreciate the blue sky above your head, and its changing
colors when the sun rises and sets, or when clouds are present. Acknowledge
and appreciate the great variety of plant-life all around you -- the tall trees
that provide shade, the colorful flowers, the edible plants that provide food
for your table, and so forth. Appreciate the water that exists in oceans,
lakes, and rivers, both for its beauty and for quenching your thirst.
Acknowledge and appreciate the animals that live on this planet. If you are a
meat-eater, take a moment to thank the animals for providing you with food. Thank the
bees for pollinating the flowers. Thank the rescue dogs who find lost,
injured people. If you’ve ever had a pet, thank it for all of the love and joy it
gave to you. Thank all of the living beings on our planet for contributing
their variety to this beautiful world.
Can you feel how much Mother Earth loves you? Can you recognize that she has
given you EVERYTHING: the very air you breathe, the food that sustains and
nourishes you, all of the tools and resources you need to be sheltered and
clothed, the metals that were used to manufacture the car you drive to get from
place to place, the wood that was used to make the violin your favorite musician
plays to delight your soul with music -- the list is ENDLESS.
You have been loved and nurtured by this beautiful, bountiful planet from the
moment you were born. Mother Earth has freely and generously offered her
abundant resources to you, to all of us, yet we have not honored her enough.
Let’s correct that now by truly sending our earth as much love and gratitude as
we can possibly generate. Visualize a bright, white light flowing out from
your heart, a light filled with love and gratitude, and imagine this light
growing larger and larger, until it surrounds the entire planet. Spend as much time
as you like sending love, gratitude, and positive energy to Mother Earth and
all of the many, many gifts she gives freely to us, her “children.” We
cannot survive without her, so let’s take good care of her! Send this healing
light to the world for as long as you wish to remain in meditation, then end by
saying, “Thank you, Mother Earth, for all that you have given to us.”
Since our world is a reflection of our collective thoughts, it makes sense
for us to work together on an energetic level to create a world of global
harmony. Each one of us has the power to shape reality by simply choosing to
emanate thoughts and feelings of Love, Oneness, and Peace. And as individuals
combine their consciousness by working together in groups, this power increases
exponentially. A relatively small number of people can shift the energies on
this planet towards peace.

Gathering and to read an Expanded Feature Article about this month’s topic, please

THIS MONTH’S FEATURED ARTICLE:
Since it’s Thanksgiving here in America, I thought this would be an
appropriate article for this month:
DEVELOPING AN “ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE”
by Doria Gambino
Dwelling on all of the bad things that happen to you can cause you to develop
a "victim of life" attitude, an attitude that leads you to see only the
negative sides of things. Thinking about all of the things you do not have can
make you forget how many blessings you do have, until eventually you end up
feeling that your whole life has been a bum deal, and that nothing good will ever
happen to you.
In a sense, if you walk around with a "poor me" attitude, you really do have
nothing, for even your greatest blessings will be no good to you if you cannot
see or appreciate them. It's the old story about viewing the glass as either
half-empty or half-full -- your choice affects whether or not you will happy
with your life.
Someone I knew many years ago once said to me, "When you have ten bucks,
you're poor. When I have ten bucks, I'm rich," and he really meant it. He was a
guy who was always inches away from being broke -- a situation that would
depress most of us -- yet he was one of the happiest people I've ever known. Life
was fun to him; he fully enjoyed each and every day, and made the most of
whatever he had.
Why is this person able to go through the day smiling even when he has less
than other people have? And why are other individuals glum and miserable
despite the fact that they have lives most people would envy? It's because LIFE IS
ATTITUDE. Quite simply, if you make up your mind to be happy and to savor
even the small things, ANY day can be a good day.
Now, the purpose of learning to appreciate life more is not to suggest that
you should accept negative circumstances without trying to change them for the
better whenever possible. The message here is simply that you do have a
choice in how you feel, and it's entirely up to you whether you experience life as
full and rich or empty and meaningless.
You can always find something to be annoyed or disappointed about if you want
to: the weather, a slow driver on the road in front of you, the mail doesn't
arrive on time, you discover that the milk in your refrigerator has turned
sour, and a hundred other things that happen during any given day. Conversely,
if you choose to look at things from a different angle, you can always find
many things to be thankful for today. Plus, you always have the promise that,
no matter how bad things might be today, tomorrow can be better.
When you are "in love with life," when you can genuinely appreciate the
experience of living, you have the ability to feel good no matter where you are and
no matter what you do or do not have. Learning to appreciate all that you
have and all that you are does not change the circumstances surrounding you all
by itself, but you will FEEL almost miraculously as if your entire life has
changed for the better. Practicing the “Attitude of Gratitude” can do profound
things for you:
Gratitude puts you into the mindset of LOOKING for the positives in life,
which in turn increases positive THINKING, which in turn increases positive
FEELINGS. If you are busy appreciating each thing in your life, you will become a
happier person, for that is actually the secret of happiness -- enjoying
whatever is going on in your life in the present moment.
As an additional bonus, the happier you are and the more positive your
attitude becomes, the more your social life will improve. You will attract more
friends, because people naturally enjoy being around someone who is smiling,
upbeat, and radiating positive energy. And, of course, everyone likes to be
appreciated, so the more you appreciate others, the more they will enjoy your
company.
When you walk through each day with an attitude of true appreciation, the
whole universe will begin to open up for you, right in front of your eyes,
because you will feel more connected to everything around you. And after all, the
true essence of spirituality is this feeling of being connected to all of life,
and of loving all that you encounter.
The following exercises can help you begin to awaken these kinds of feelings.
EXERCISE #1: Make a list of everything in your life that you are grateful
for having. Include everything that comes to mind: Your health; the fact that
all of the many organs and systems in your body function properly. Features
you like about your body: your nice teeth, your pretty hair, whatever. Your
skills and talents -- can you write poetry? Are you good at math? Do you know
how to grow vegetables in your garden? Are you a good cook? The people in
your life: family and friends who love you -- what you do cherish and
appreciate about each of these individuals? A pet who loves you unconditionally and is
always happy to see you, even when you have bad breath and you’re having a
bad hair day. Your material possessions: your home, your car, your furniture,
your appliances, the pots and pans in your kitchen, your clothes, etc. Your
environment: depending on where you live, there might be pretty trees, a lake
or ocean, the song of birds, a neighbor’s flower garden, and so forth. Local
sites you get to enjoy: a nearby park, favorite restaurants, a place to ski,
all of the stores where you buy your household goods, the movie theater, and
so forth. Your entertainment: favorite TV shows, favorite books and movies,
favorite music, and so forth. Memorable experiences: the trip you took to
Paris, the perfect summer day you spent at the beach last August with your best
friend, the time you saw your favorite singer in concert, and so forth.
Make this list as long and as detailed as you possibly can. Then, if you’re
ever feeling down, or going through a time in your life when nothing seems to
be going right, take out your list and read it. It will remind you that your
life is blessed with incredible abundance.
EXERCISE #2: Another good way to develop an attitude of appreciation is to
sit down at the end of each day and write down at least ten things you were
grateful for that day. These things could include a tasty and nutritious meal,
or a good friend, or the fact that the day went smoothly and you felt peaceful,
or a book that taught you something valuable, or the fact that you had enough
money in your bank account to pay the car insurance bill, finding a good
parking spot at the mall, and so forth. (I’ve been keeping a “gratitude
notebook” for three years now. At the end of every day, I write down everything I am
grateful for that day, and it has really changed my perspective by helping me
look for the GOOD in my life.)
Try it and see -- if you spend one entire day taking the time to appreciate
EVERYTHING you have and use throughout the day, you will feel like the
wealthiest person on earth!
EXERCISE 3: Get into the habit of thanking everything in your life for the
contribution it makes to your well-being. This may sound nuts, but I often say
“thank you” out loud to inanimate objects in my life for serving me so
faithfully. When I arrive at a destination safely, I will thank my car for doing a
good job. When I turn off my stereo, I will thank it for playing the music
for me that I wanted to hear. I thank the plumbing for providing hot and cold
running water. I thank my stove for cooking my dinner. I thank the soft cozy
blankets on my bed for keeping me warm in the winter.
Develop the habit of APPRECIATION. When you get up in the morning, thank
your body for serving you so well; thank your heart for beating, and your lungs
for breathing, and your eyes for seeing, and so forth. Give thanks for your
food at every meal: thank the earth for providing the food, thank the farmers
for growing it, and thank the food itself for providing you with nutrients and
sustenance. When you drive to work, thank your car for getting you there.
When you sit down to watch your favorite movie, thank the producers, directors,
actors, and crew for making this movie for your entertainment. And so on.
When you get into the habit of acknowledging all the good you have in your life,
EVERY day becomes a GOOD day.
Appreciate all of the little things you take for granted, one by one, day by
day. If you stop to notice and give thanks for all that you have been
fortunate enough to receive, you'll find that you get more pleasure out of all
situations. And, when it comes to the people in your life, giving thanks to them
for all that they have given to you will not only help you appreciate them more,
but will make them feel better as well -- a double benefit!
EXERCISE #4: You can also heighten your appreciation of what you have by
sharing your bounty with others. Whenever you pass along part of your good
fortune, you are creating a chain of energy that expands the good fortune, a chain
that allows it to brighten more lives that just your own. Plus, you'll find
that when you share something with others, it makes the thing you've shared
seem somehow more real, more tangible.
Happy Thanksgiving!

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP PROJECT FOR THE MONTH:
LET’S MAKE THANKSGIVING A YEAR-ROUND EVENT: Why do we only make it a point
to “give thanks” during one meal out of the whole year? Let’s make “giving
thanks” a regular mindset by practicing this habit every night at dinner. When
your family sits down to eat, ask each family member to list several things
he or she felt grateful for that day, any positive events s/he experienced or
witnessed. You will find that something wonderful starts to happen when you
stop to “count your blessings” on a daily basis: You will begin to truly
notice and appreciate how much GOOD is in your life every single day!
The goal of “The Global Citizenship Project” is to help anyone who wishes to
make a difference find something suitable to their interests and talents, and
availability of time and resources. Listed on the website are hundreds of
suggestions that any person can use to make the world a better place by
following “global citizenship” practices -- feel free to send in a suggestion of your
own when you visit! (Parents and teachers -- help the world by raising
“globally conscious” kids. Check out the website for complete details...
www.MetamorphosisMagazine.com)
Small contributions to the common good add up to big contributions when
enough people are inspired to participate. Each small act of kindness adds up;
there is power in numbers. One person may not be able to change the world much,
but 1,000 people can make a huge difference, and 100,000 people can move
mountains! Think about it: If EVERYBODY on the planet committed just ONE tiny,
little act of kindness or generosity every day, that’s 6.3 BILLION positive
contributions to the world, every day, every week, every year. How powerful is
that!

HEALTH CORNER: Staying Healthy During the Holidays
For many of us, the holiday season puts extra stress on our bodies for two
reasons: 1) We are often so busy running around shopping, celebrating, and
socializing that we get a little run down, and 2) Our normal, everyday diets
often go right out the window and we end up eating holiday goodies all day
instead.
For issue # 1, here are some simple tips that can help you be less stressed
out:
* Take ten minutes out of each day to center yourself, relax, and meditate.
It will make a huge difference!
* Put off non-urgent chores (like repainting the bathroom, washing and
vacuuming your car, going to the dentist for your teeth cleaning, and so forth)
until after the holiday hecticness is over.
* Schedule one evening every week to have some “relaxation time” to
recharge your batteries. Leave one evening free of appointments, social
get-togethers, errands, and chores, and just do something that relaxes you: read a book,
do yoga, listen to music, rent a DVD, play board games with the family.
You’ll actually have a lot MORE energy in the long run if you take regular rest
breaks in the short run.
For issue #2, try these methods:
* Indulge in the holiday goodies only during special occasions. In
between, make sure your regular, everyday meals are as healthy as possible. Have
oatmeal for breakfast instead of that leftover pumpkin pie. Have a garden salad
for lunch. Eat an apple or an orange as an afternoon snack. And so forth.
This way, your body won’t feel like a toxic waste dump at the end of December,
and your waistline won’t inflate, either.
* Make sure you still get adequate nutrients into your body even on days
when your diet is full of junk foods. Take a high-quality multivitamin to get
those essential ingredients that are missing when you’re not eating enough
vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and other healthy foods.
And for both issue #1 AND issue #2, get some exercise! Brisk exercise will
both release the stress from your muscles, and also burn off some of those
extra calories you may be eating!

RECOMMENDED READING:
This month, instead of recommending a book, I’d like to recommend a movie the
whole family can watch together. The holiday season is supposed to be about
“brotherly/sisterly love”, right? Well, this movie beautifully illustrates
that amazing and wonderful things can happen when human beings put aside their
petty differences and learn to live and work together in a spirit of
cooperation.
The movie is called “Remember the Titans.” It’s the true story about a high
school football team in the South during the civil rights movement and what
happened when the school was forced by law to become desegregated. At first,
there was nothing but racial tension and hostility among the football players,
but then the coach did something brilliant: He required all the boys on the
team to get to know each other one-on-one, and even paired interracial
roommates together during their two-week training camp. It’s easy to hate a group of
people you’ve stereotyped from afar, but that hatred melts once you get to
know an individual on a personal level and you realize you have more in common
than you have different. After the coach made the boys get to know each other,
within two short weeks, the hostility had given way to genuine friendship
amongst the boys, and they came together as a solid team. Moreover, the whole
town was transformed by their example.
Coach Boone’s methods are the key to peace. Before we pre-judge, condemn,
fear, or dislike others, we should get to KNOW them. Why not rent this movie
during the holidays and share its uplifting message with your children? Teach
your kids about “brotherly/sisterly love” by exposing them to different
cultures, different religions, and so forth. Part of being a true “global citizen”
is recognizing that the richness of diversity in this world is a beautiful
thing.

GIFTING FROM THE HEART
by Sandi McArthur
“To Gift or not To Gift,” that is the question that plagues so many of us as
we near the holiday season. I want to honor people and celebrate those
special occasions and still stay true to the ideals I hold dear. Sometimes I feel
those ideals are compromised when I buy something for someone in an act of
last minute pressure shopping.
So to keep my blood pressure from going up and my bank account from going
down, I have come to think of gift giving from a different point of view. I
always keep in mind the words of a graduation speech I heard some years ago, which
keeps me focused on what is important and prevents me from running to the
mall for that last minute gift. In essence the message was, “We all have too
much stuff and it’s cluttering up not only our homes, but our minds and hearts.”
We spend so much of our lives wanting and obtaining stuff, and the rest of
the time worrying about it. We buy it, store it, clean it, collect it, move
it, dust it, and protect it. We always seem to want and accumulate more,
needing bigger and bigger spaces just to store our “stuff.” We have placed such
significance on having things that we lose sight of what is really important to
us. Our stuff just seems to be adding to the clutter and chaos of our lives
while at the same time we feel we are losing that precious commodity, “time.”
So here we are in a situation of having too much stuff and too little time.
Over and over again, I hear friends and family bemoaning the fact that they
don’t have enough time. Time is becoming more valuable than money. So my
holiday ritual is coming up with ways to give the gift of time, which I believe is
truly a gift from the heart.
The possibilities are endless. Just let your creative juices flow! Here are
a few examples:
* Gift that someone special with your time, such as: Watching their
children for a night or even a weekend; this is such a great gift to all of those who
are parents. Make and deliver a home-cooked meal, freeing people up for an
evening. Clean someone’s home, attic, or basement. Pet sit. Wash windows,
weed a garden, paint, or help on a building project, tune up a car -- the sky’s
the limit here. If you can’t decide what would be most helpful, give out a
blank coupon good for “X” amount of labor hours and let them choose how to use
it.
* Another way to give of yourself is time spent doing something with a
friend, relative, or co-worker. You make the plans and preparations and the
person just needs to show up! Give a picnic complete with food, a canoe ride, a
hike in the country. Take them to a concert, movie, play, or sporting activity.
Think about that special person and what activities they enjoy doing, but
might not do for themselves.
* Taking the time to make something for someone is another way of letting
that person know how much they mean to you. For example, give a beautiful jar
of home-preserved tomatoes, salsa, pickles or jam from your garden. Or
perhaps a lovely hand-knit or sewn item. Edible items like breads or baked goods,
hand-built, carved or crafted items, hand-made paper for corresponding, or
bouquets of fresh flowers from your garden. Your creative talents can be your
guide here.
* Giving the gift of a class or lessons of all kinds is great for the
person who may not do this for themselves. Music, art, dance, yoga, sculpture,
writing, kayaking, etc. The list is endless here and might involve your own
talent or that of others in your own community.
* Sharing the abundance of what we have with those less fortunate,
strengthening our communities or helping to fund the ideals we believe in, is another
wonderful way to gift from the heart. There are so many ways to accomplish
this simply by finding out what is near and dear to the heart of the person
receiving the gift and giving to that cause in their name. This can be on a
local, national, or international level. Ideas like giving to a local food pantry
or shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International, and other
organizations helping to break the cycle of poverty. Plant a tree, or give a gift
subscription to a CSA farm (Community Supported Agriculture).
There are so many ways to show people how much we care about them. When we
think outside the gift box and let our creative imaginations take hold, we can
feel good about our choices by giving others gifts from our hearts and hands.
Peace to All.

Foods Market in Traverse City, Michigan.)

ASTROLOGY FOR PARENTS:
JUPITER: YOUR CHILD’S KEY TO SUCCESS
by Doria Gambino
(NOTE: Although this article is written for parents, the Astrological
information it contains can be applied to the charts of adults as well)
Since the holidays are coming up, and many of us are thinking about gifts, I
decided that this month’s Astrology For Parents article should be about the
personal “gifts” that each of us receive through the largest planet in our
solar system: Jupiter.
Astrologically, the planet Saturn symbolizes “karmic lessons.” It shows you
the obstacles your child must overcome within him or herself in order to
manifest the potential talents and gifts in his or her chart. However, just as
each child’s Astrological makeup presents specific challenges to her or him
through Saturn, each child’s chart also provides a source of assistance in the
form of Jupiter.
Jupiter can show your child HOW to overcome the obstacles Saturn may bring
into her/his life, because Jupiter reveals the best path for each individual to
follow in order to transcend his or her Saturnian karmic challenge. Jupiter
is like “Santa Claus” -- it brings gifts into your child’s life by revealing
the types of actions, places, people, circumstances, and methods that will lead
to the best opportunities for success in every area of your child’s life:
school, social groups, hobbies, interests, goals, dreams, and personal
life-path. Jupiter provides the resources and tools that show your child his or her
own personal “key” to attaining his/her goals and dreams.
All parents would naturally like to see their children reach their optimum
potential in life. Jupiter provides essential clues as to how to help this
happen, because Jupiter acts as the “great benefactor” that can help your child
transform his or her natural talents and deepest dreams into concrete
realities. Jupiter is like “the wind in your sails” -- if an individual taps into
her/his Jupiter gifts, s/he will get where s/he wants to be.
Be aware that the energy of Jupiter’s placement in your child’s chart may
differ markedly from the primary energy patterns of her Sun, Moon, and
Ascendant, so your child may not automatically know how to access her Jupiter energy
and bring those dormant gifts to the surface. By learning about and helping
your child explore his personal Jupiter tools, you can help your child discover
the optimum paths for reaching and maximizing his goals and dreams, as well as
how to minimize the effects of any “challenging” aspects in his chart.
In order to fully understand how your child can best utilize her/his Jupiter
gifts, study both the sign and the house placement of Jupiter in your child’s
Astrology chart:
JUPITER IN ARIES OR FIRST HOUSE: The best results will come to your child if
she follows an “Arian” approach to situations by being somewhat bold, daring
and adventurous. If she takes a self-confident and assertive approach to
things and isn’t afraid to promote herself and her ideas, she will dazzle and
motivate others and attract the right kinds of attention. Also, if you teach
this child to trust his gut instincts, he will find that impulsive actions often
pay off handsomely for him. Try to give your child the freedom to be
independent, to take risks (within reason, of course) and explore uncharted
territory. If you encourage this child to blaze new trails rather than following the
crowd, success will surely follow.
JUPITER IN TAURUS OR SECOND HOUSE: This child’s best successes in life will
come through taking a very practical approach to things and building solid,
lasting structures in all areas of his life. A patient, consistent approach is
the key, sticking to an endeavor over the long-term so that she builds up the
skills, resources, and experiences that create a stable foundation. Slow and
steady gets the prize for Taurus Jupiter, just like the tortoise who ran the
race in the famous fable, “The Tortoise and The Hare.” Encourage this child
from an early age to develop productive routines and habits that will serve him
in the long run, because once Taurus energy develops a habit, it’s very hard
to get him to change it later.
JUPITER IN GEMINI OR THIRD HOUSE: The gift that Jupiter bestows upon this
child is the gift of communication. Working with ideas, and then communicating
them either through speaking or writing will bring many benefits into this
child’s life. Networking, interacting with others, and using language in all of
its forms will serve her very well. This child should be encouraged to ask
questions, gather information through books and websites as well as other forms
of study and research, and then share the information he learns with others --
Jupiter in Gemini people make great teachers, writers, publishers, and public
speakers. This child also has the gift of versatility and adaptability, as
Gemini is the “Jack of all Trades” energy -- she will probably excel at a
variety of hobbies and talents, so don’t pin her down to narrow paths of
exploration.
JUPITER IN CANCER OR FOURTH HOUSE: Cancerian energy is the “nurturing”
energy of the zodiac, so this child will find her greatest successes when she uses
her innate sensitivity to adopt the role of caretaker, by making others feels
included, comforted and supported He will get good results in life when he
uses his ability to emotionally devote himself to others, whether that is his
family on a small scale or his community on a larger scale. A child with this
placement will often find that he has a natural ability to “heal” others by
attending to them either physically or emotionally, and Cancerian Jupiters are
also good at guarding and protecting whomever and whatever is near and dear to
their hearts; they are geared towards honoring and preserving traditions. As
long as Cancerian Jupiter is able to build a strong sense of “security” in
her life, she will have the courage to pursue her dreams.
JUPITER IN LEO OR FIFTH HOUSE: Leo’s gifts will manifest best when you
encourage your child to think big, dream grand dreams, and seek the spotlight, for
Leo was born to be “the star” of the show. Whenever Jupiter Leo becomes the
center of attention, the energy of this sign gets activated and its natural
warmth and charisma charms others effortlessly. Jupiter in Leo children will
shine when they are encouraged to “strut their stuff,” as others find their
innate enthusiasm and creativity very entertaining and uplifting. Leo Jupiters
should be encouraged to take charge and organize situations whenever
appropriate, as they possess natural leadership ability. This, coupled with the fact
that they are so much fun to be around, will lead to popularity, which in turn
opens doors and leads to all kinds of opportunities. Whenever Leo Jupiter
takes a spontaneous, creative, outgoing, and joyful approach to situations, she
will likely get good results.
JUPITER IN VIRGO OR SIXTH HOUSE: Jupiter will bestow its best gifts upon
this child when he is encouraged to take a methodical approach to tasks and pay
attention to the various details. Virgo energy gives this child the ability to
“fix” or improve situations that are not orderly. Encourage her to follow
through and do a thorough job on any task, as she has the ability to really get
things right if she takes her time. A common-sense, precise, discriminating
approach to projects will serve him much better than a flashier approach or
taking shortcuts, and will lead to the greatest productivity and end result.
Virgo Jupiters also benefit personally in the long run whenever they do things
to help others, as Virgo is the sign of “service” and “duty,” and Jupiter
always rewards you for properly using the specific gifts of the sign or house it
occupies within your chart.
JUPITER IN LIBRA OR SEVENTH HOUSE: The symbol for Libra is the scales, and
therefore Jupiter bestows its gifts upon this child when she is encouraged to
weigh decisions carefully, take a balanced approach, consider both sides of the
equation, and seek win-win solutions that benefit others as well as herself.
Libra is also the sign of partnerships, and therefore this child will have
the best success when he teams up with other people, because this gives him
access to their gifts and talents as well as his own. Libra energy provides
natural “social graces,” and this child will shine when she is coordinating and
facilitating any kind of social function. His natural charm and good manners
allow him to create harmony, cooperation, and compromise within his friendships.
Libra also rules fashion, art, and interior design, and thus this child’s
innate sense of style also contributes to her ability to create beautiful social
settings.
JUPITER IN SCORPIO OR EIGHTH HOUSE: With this Jupiter placement, your child
will excel whenever he taps into Scorpio’s ability to focus its concentration
like a laser beam. No other sign is capable of either the intensity or
duration of single-minded focus towards a goal, and therefore he can complete
endeavors that other signs would find far too daunting. Challenges actually fuel
this sign’s energy and push it to even higher planes of success, as Jupiter
Scorpio can remain cool in a crisis and possesses the kind of incredible stamina
and drive that allows the individual to achieve so-called “impossible” goals.
Encourage this child to push herself as far as she desires to go in her
endeavors, and teach her how to delve under the surface and discover all facets of
any situation, as Scorpio Jupiters are natural “detectives.” Scorpio energy
is also highly mystical and even psychic; thus, encouraging him to tap into
and trust his deep intuition will allow him to make good decisions even when
“logical” information presents incomplete or confusing data.
JUPITER IN SAGITTARIUS OR NINTH HOUSE: A child with this Jupiter placement
will find that life always “works out” for her as long as she has faith and
maintains an optimistic outlook. Sagittarius energy seeks truth with a capital
“T,” and therefore this child’s best approach to situations is to be honest
and direct, and to hold fast to his ideals. Encourage your child to develop a
personal philosophy of life based on sound ethics and/or religious or
spiritual beliefs, and teach him to never compromise these ideals even when faced with
challenges. Sagittarius energy also bring gifts from distant lands --
encouraging this child to travel and develop a “worldly” attitude by learning about
a variety of cultures will bring many opportunities into her life. A
cheerful, adventurous, open-minded approach to situations will help him maximize his
talents and dreams.
JUPITER IN CAPRICORN OR TENTH HOUSE: Capricorn energy is ambitious, so don’t
be afraid to encourage this child to set big goals and high standards for
himself. He will reach his goals if he takes the “tried and true” approach:
steady, persistent, and methodical. Encourage him to set long-term goals, and
teach him how he can reach these goals with a “step by step” game plan.
Cutting corners will usually not work out well for this child -- she will succeed
best with a conservative, self-disciplined course of action. Gaining levels of
mastery through consistent practice and building a distinguished reputation
for excellence over time will open important doors for this child as she gets
older. However, also encourage him to rely on his sophisticated sense of humor,
as that can help lighten him up when he gets too “serious” about life.
JUPITER IN AQUARIUS OR ELEVENTH HOUSE: A child with this Jupiter placement
will do best when he takes a “future-oriented” approach to life, as Aquarius
is the sign of the visionary, and he can come up with ideas that are way ahead
of his time. Encourage this child to be “intellectually progressive,” and to
think outside the box and explore uncharted mental territory. Uniqueness is
the gift that Jupiter bestows upon her, and she can invent new ways of doing
things that would never even occur to others as long as she is given free reign
to think for herself rather than being pushed to conform to the crowd.
Aquarius is also the “humanitarian” sign, and thus this child will succeed in a
big way when he focuses on helping humanity evolve to higher levels of peace and
brotherly/sisterly love. He may possess a natural gift for working with
humanitarian groups and associations that can influence long-term social
development.
JUPITER IN PISCES OR TWELFTH HOUSE: One gift that Jupiter gives to this
child is the gift of deep sensitivity and compassion and a strong intuition, which
grants her the potential to be a great healer, as she is so empathically
attuned to and considerate of the welfare of others. Encourage her to develop a
spiritual path and to connect to “cosmic consciousness” (meditation is a great
activity for this child once she’s old enough), as this can help her work
more effectively with the sensitivity of Piscean energy. Jupiter also bestows on
this child a vivid and creative imagination. This gentle dreamer can
accomplish magnificent things in life if he is allowed to explore the territory of
his own “inner world.” The gift of Piscean energy through Jupiter is the
ability to visualize a more beautiful world than the so-called “real” world, and
then bring this beauty INTO the “real” world. This child’s heightened
imagination, if channeled properly into an endeavor, can create incredible works of
art: writing fiction, making films, painting, songwriting, making jewelry or
other crafts, and so forth.
